| Adoptable Pets: A Tour of States Takes us to Montana Posted: 10 Sep 2011 09:29 PM PDT by Carrie Boyko, CEB | | © Carrie Boyko | | | Maggie Mae | Maggie Mae reminds me of Tanner's neighborhood friend, Bella, another Great Pyrenees beauty. This lovely lady is a good-natured, well-adjusted dog of 5 years who was given up by her owners when they couldn't find time for her. Her former owners say she loves a swim on a hot Summer day and is quite playful. She will be a wonderful housemate for most any family. Maggie Mae is available in Lavina, Montana. | | Ruby | Ruby arrived at the rescue from a puppy mill where she was a breeding female. She quickly gave birth to 4 healthy puppies. Ruby is estimated by the vet to be about 8 years old and is a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. She has been a good mother and gets along well with dogs and people alike. She will make a wonderful pet. Ruby is located in Manahattan, Montana. | | Jasper | Now let's look at a beautiful kitty in Great Falls, Montana, named Jasper. Jasper was found as a stray at about a year old and has been adopted by a family earlier, but was turned in because he did not adapt. He may have a bit of trouble with other pets in the home and would likely do best in a family where he is the only pet. Jasper warms up when offered his favorite treat--soft chow mein noodles. Go figure, right?!! | | Frankie | Frankie the rabbit was also turned in as a stray. He is a medium adult male Rex rabbit mix. He is now ready to be adopted and is available in Great Falls, Montana. The pets you have seen here today are but a drop in the bucket of what is available for adoption at rescues all over the country. If you seek a new furry member for your family, we urge you to adopt, not purchase, your new pet. Petfinder's search function allows you to seek the pet of your dreams by entering location, breed, sex, age, size and more to help you find just the new best friend you're looking for. Please give it a try. Happy tails!
