Fido's Freebie Friday Invites Your Pet Giveaway Listings Posted: 23 Jun 2011 12:00 PM PDT by Carrie Boyko, CEB Good afternoon and welcome to Fido's Freebie Friday. I know it may seem a bit silly that this event starts on Thursday afternoon, but there really is a reason for this--honest. Knowing that many of my fellow bloggers work 9 to 5ers, I wanted to allow them time to get linked up to the hop on Thursday evenings so that their posts will be visible all day on Friday. Thanks for your understanding and let's get down to business. Last week's hop got us rolling with a tidy batch of giveaways that ranged from free cleaning solutions to expensive cat doors and dog beds. What fun it was to see the variety! Now that I have a partner in this event, Doreen of Doggies and Stuff, and I will be busy collecting our fellow bloggers contact info so that we may help this giveaway event grow into the "Giveaway Central" that we hope it will soon be. Without further ado, let's get to it. There are just 2 rules for link ups: The Fido's Freebie Friday Blog Hop is open to posts about giveaways, drawings, prizes, and freebies for pet products or services only, including pet-related items for owners. Please post the badge or a link to this post in your Fido's Freebie Friday blog post and invite your readers to visit their hosts, All Things Dog Blog and Doggies and Stuff. Comments are encouraged! The Fido's Freebie Friday Blog Hop will open each Thursday afternoon by 4 PM and close at midnight on Fridays. During these hours you may add your pet related giveaways to the hop with a link directly to your giveaway post at your blog. This blog hop is ONLY for free pet products or services. It may include any contests that involve a free, pet-related prize (photo contests, guessing games, etc) including pet-related items for pet owners. If you have multiple giveaways, feel free to post each of them. Individual rules of entry and guidelines for winning may apply to each listing. All Things Dog Blog takes no responsibility for the legality of the rules governing the listings on other sites and giveaways that are posted here. We simply provide this forum as a gathering place for pet product giveaways to be offered.

SafeMade Pet's Flexi-bowl: A Versatile Pet Bowl and Bakery Pan Posted: 22 Jun 2011 09:01 PM PDT by Carrie Boyko, CEB | © Carrie Boyko Bow Wow Banana Cake Fresh From the Oven | Boy howdy! Did the kitchen ever smell good while this was baking. Tanner and Oliver mingled around the table just knowing that something yummy would soon be out. I'm sure they thought it would be one of those same 'ole, same 'ole things--we eat most of it and maybe they get a crumb or two from pops. Little did they know that this cake was made special for them. The SafeMade Pet Flexibowl that it was baked in is made of silicone, a material that is becoming more frequently used for kitchen items such as hotpads and even some types of bakeware. This bowl is particularly cute with it's paw print shape, perfect for a dog cake. | © Carrie Boyko Can We Cut it Now? | Would you like to try making one of these healthy and delicious cakes for your pup--maybe for a birthday celebration? Here's the recipe I used; it was a big hit here. Carrie's Bow Wow Banana Cake Ingredients: - 3 ripe organic bananas, mashed well
- 1 organic egg
- 2 Tablespoons organic Applesauce
- 2 Tablespoons organic Canola Oil
- 1-1/2 cups organic Whole Wheat Flour
- 1 teaspoon aluminum-free baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
 | © Carrie Boyko It's Almost All Gone, Oliver | Instructions: - Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare pan with organic cooking spray and set aside.
- Combine dry ingredients.
- Stir egg, oil and applesauce into mashed bananas.
- Combine all and stir until evenly mixed.
- Spoon mixture into a 1-1/2 quart pan.
- Bake 35-45 minutes. Ovens vary and so will pans. Check with a toothpick to determine when done.
- After cooling on a rack for a few minutes, remove from pan to continue cooling with full air circulation.
- Cool before slicing.
