Stomper
Stomper is a strikingly beautiful bunny available through my local pet rescue, A New Beginning. My daughter volunteered with them for years before heading off to college. Stomper is a young bunny who is quite friendly. She is being fostered in Viera, Florida where she lives with a family that includes dogs and cats. Click her link to learn more about Stomper.

Van Gogh
Van Gogh's beautiful coat and clearly apparent TWO ears, makes his name rather ironic. History quis: Who was the artist that cut off his ear? Read on and I'll share the answer. Van Gogh is a Dutch rabbit available in Daytona, Florida, just an hour from Orlando. Well worth the short ride for a beautiful bunny like this. Who needs a pet store, right?

So, did you get the answer to my quiz right? Of course you did; Van Gogh, the painter, is notorious for cutting off his ear. Fortunately this Van Gogh has two beautiful ears!

Meet Yeti and Willa--a beautiful platonic couple-- both Florida White/American mix rabbits. Yeti is a large and incredibly sweet boy that bonded quickly and strongly with Willa when they happened to experience playtime together. These two would enjoy a long and happy life together, if they are lucky enough to be adopted together. Who doesn't want a best friend to grow old with?

Yeti and Willa are being fostered in Tampa, Florida. Learn more about them at the link above.

Penny
Penny is a medium, 6 year old female lop that is sweet as can be. At 6, she is considered a senior. Rabbits can live 7-12 years. She seems to have trouble with recurring ear infections, but with regular cleaning this may be less of a problem. Lops often have ear trouble if not well cared for. Penny was surrendered to the rescue after being a lone bunny, so may do best in a home without children or other pets. She is currently in Lewisville, Texas.

Jeter

Jeter is a young, medium male that has been neutered. He is an indoor rabbit that is looking for a loving family to shower him with attention. The rescue recommends that interested families visit www.Rabbit.org for more information on bunny adoption.

Noah and Charlotte have been fast friends since their first meeting, possibly because both have a tough story. The white rabbit in the photo is Noah; he was dragged home by a cat and injured. He is all healed now and is quite sweet. Charlotte, the English Spot mix was rescued from a barn where she had lost an ear. Both would be happy to be adopted together and are currently housed in Garland, Texas.
Noah and Charlotte
Dave
Dave is a New Zealand rabbit mix that is a little over a year old. He has a nice disposition for a first time owner. He will need an indoor home with the opportunity for some outdoor time, perhaps a fenced yard or screened porch. Dave's rescue recommends homes without children or dogs, but is willing to discuss your family's situation and consider it. He is available in Lewisville, Texas.

Welcome to All Things Dog Blog's Easter Rabbit Adoptathon and Blog Hop. We're excited to host this event in honor of our family's rabbit, Robby, whom we rescued in 2002. He's an adorable and affectionate little guy that has given us many laughs, and even more nose wiggles.

Today, we'll be highlighting adoptable rabbits around the country. Other blogs will be linking up to participate along with us, so you can peruse the photos below to 'shop', or simply enjoy the adorable pics.

Ruby
I'm going to bounce to the opposite corner of the country and start with Idaho first. My first selection was made because Ruby has similar coloring to Robby, yet is lop-eared. I bet he'd think she was a real cutie-pie. Ruby is about 2 years old and weighs 6 1/2 pounds. She is available in Hayden, Idaho. Her foster family recommends she be adopted to a family with other rabbits, as she enjoys having rabbit companionship. Her bio at the link includes a good bit of information on her, so drop on over and check her out.

Rabit
Rabit doesn't have a very creative name, but his look is certainly interesting. He is an 8 month old adult male that is awaiting space in the rescue. If you have plans to adopt a rabbit, we hope you'll consider him, as he definitely needs a furever family to love him. Rabit is located in Moscow, Idaho.

Cookie Dough
Now let's move East to Virginia and check on Cookie Dough. How can you resist that name or this face? She's a young adult female that has been spayed. Cookie is available in Chesterfield, Virginia.

Clyde
Clyde came to his rescue organization from a hoarding situation, yet is a very sweet bunny. After what he's been through, he certainly could use a loving home that will give him comfort and a peaceful existence. Most rabbits do not enjoy extremely active households. Clyde is available in Haymarket, Virginia. He is neutered and even has a microchip.

Watch for more adoptable rabbit highlights in posts throughout the day, and be sure to visit some of the adorable bunnies you'll find in the linkups below. If you're a blogger who would like to join in, here are tips for participation at my Help Page.

NOTE: If your blog is hosted on Wordpress.com, you will need to use different code in your own blog, after you enter the hop, Powered by Linky Tools Click here to enter your link and view this Linky Tools list...

Pupsicles are Back for Warmer Weather: Fruity Yogurt Chillers Recipe

A Quick, Healthy Treat
Sure to Please Your Pup
Ever since I made Paris Permenter's cheese and chicken treats, I've been up nights thinking of doggie recipes. Crazy huh? Today's idea sprung merely from a kitchen of over-ripe fruit and a container of yogurt nearing its expiration date. That's the perfect time to concoct something yummy for pups that love to experiment with new taste sensations.

There will be no more wasted food around here. It's all going to be turned into doggie delights! Want to try today's special?

Fruity Yogurt Chillers

Ingredients:
  • 1 16 oz. container of plain organic yogurt
  • 2 very ripe bananas
  • 1 very ripe apple, peeled and cut up
  • 3/4 Cup blueberries

Mmmm....Mmmm....Good!
Blend until evenly creamy and pour into ice cube trays. Freeze and them remove to an airtight container for periodic frozen snacks. These are great on a hot day, but be sure to serve on an outdoor patio or in a newspaper lined crate. They are a bit messy and would definitely stain flooring or carpet.

I have to admit after allowing Tanner and Oliver to lick my fingers, I decided to turn a bit of this recipe into a smoothie for me. After adding some ice and whirring it in the Cuisinart a bit longer, it became a delicious afternoon snack for all 3 of us. The boys didn't mind lapping theirs up from small bowls; who needs to wait for frozen? Something tells me these won't last long in the freezer.

On another note, I hope to see you all at my Easter Rabbit Adoptathon Blog Hop today. We'll be highlighting rabbits all over the country, just in time for the big bunny day. Need more info? Try my Help Desk.

Now it's time to go hopping. This post is part of the Saturday Pet Blogger's Hop, hosted by Life with Dogs, Two Little Cavaliers, and Confessions of the Plume.
