Since our Tour of States has finally come home for us, we decided to have a little fun today. We're going to look at possible lookalike companions for each of our pets. It's silly, I know, but why not?!!
Wolfie
Wolfie was left alone when his owner was taken to a nursing home. A nice neighbor cared for him daily until no longer able. Now that he is in a foster home, he is pleased to have people and other pets around, and to get outside more often. He is a lovable and sweet boy who will make a nice pet.

Oliver, our Papillon, met a Papillon friend today at the dog park and enjoyed playing with him immensely. It almost made me feel guilty that he does not have a like-sized doggie companion.  But what about Tanner?

Duke
Duke looks like a great playmate for Tanner. He's a young, male Golden who appears to have had a caring family. Check out that personalized bandana. Won't you give Duke a second look?

Duke has just arrived at the rescue and his information is not yet available. You can check the link to his name for more details as they become listed on the site. Petfinder is pretty good about adding information when they get an update on an adoptable pet. We sure do hope Duke finds a family that can get him out for a good long walk every day.

Prudence
Prudence is a sweet kitten who finds herself in a family that has too many pets for its rental home. She needs to find a new family or a landlord that will allow her current family to keep all of their furry family members. If you can help either way, please check the site for contact information. Prudence is a lovable young cat who is playful and affectionate. And we have to tell you that she is the spitting image of our cat, Patches!

Harley
Harley is the closest lookalike to our rabbit, Robby, as I was able to find in Florida. He is a cutie, though. Harley is currently in a foster home, living cage free, in St. Petersburg. Harley is good with both cats and dogs and is a nice housemate. Sounds like a great pet to me; our Robby would be proud.

If you are located in central Florida, these pets and many others like them are also. More information is available at the link to each of their names, where you can learn something about their past lives and their personalities. If you have not found the perfect pet here, feel free to do your own search on the Petfinder system, where you can choose your location, pet type, breed, size, color, sex and more. Whatever you do, we hope you will choose adoption. Xena, Patches, Robby and Oliver all came to us this way, and they are all great pets. Adoption really is a great option.
